| Salvation
- Covering the Basics |
|
| Who is God?
God lives in Heaven. Everything
in this world He created. He gave man the capabilities to create
new things, like plastic, but it's still from God. God loves
you very much, and only wants you to come home. The only way
God could explain His love was to send Jesus to earth to tell us.

Who is Jesus?
Jesus is God's Son who has never
sinned. Jesus, who lived in Heaven, came to live on
earth. Jesus loves you and does not want you to go go Hell, so
He died on the cross to take away your sins. He was buried,
then 3 days later He came out of the grave and went back to Heaven,
where He lives now. Christians traditionally celebrate Jesus'
birth during Christmas, morn His crucifixion on Good Friday, and
rejoice His resurrection on Easter!
"For God
so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting
life." - John 3:16 |
|
| Where did we come from?
God made everything and
everyone. Despite what some specialist think, we are not
related to monkeys and we were not created from fungus. The
first man and woman created by God were Adam and Eve. God
loved them so much that He gave them a beautiful garden to live in
called Eden. To learn more about Creationism, please see the
links provided at the end of this section.
"In the
beginning God created the heaven and the earth." -
Genesis 1:1
|
|
| Who is the devil?
At one time Satan was a beautiful
angel and his name was Lucifer. God gave him the job of taking care
of the earth. Lucifer believed that he could be worshipped like God
because he was so beautiful. This is when he tempted Eve in the
Garden of Eden and became the father of lies. The devil has
access to the earth and to God. He does not dwell in
Hell.
"The
devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. A
warning for us to be sober and vigilant." - 1Peter 5: 8
There will be a future time period
when there will be a war in heaven. Satan will be kicked out of
heaven and put onto the earth. When Satan is cast to the earth, he
will know that he only has a short time to live. He will cause much
chaos on the earth and mankind will have rough times. After Satan is
locked up for a thousand years, he will be released to try and fool
the individuals living on the earth one more time. He will then be
done away with forever and there will be a new earth in which God's
government will rule over it. Your salvation is very important
for this reason.
"The god
of this world has the power to blind the minds of those who chose
not to believe God's words so that they can not see the light of the
gospel of Christ." - 2Corinthians 4: 3-4 |

What is Sin?
Sin means to go against God's
word. No one is sinless except Jesus Christ. The Ten
Commandments were not only written to guide us in our lives, but
it's also there to show us just how much of a sinner we really
are. Everyone has sinned. The payment for your sins is
death.

|
"All
have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God."
- Romans 3:23 |
|
| What happens to you when you
die?
God must punish sin. In the
Bible He tells us that the punishment for sin is death.
"The
wages of sin is death;" - Romans 6:23
All who have sinned will go to a
place called Hell where there is much sorrow, darkness, and
pain. BUT, Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Our
debt has been paid and credited is only waiting there for us to
collect.
"...but
the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
- Romans 6:23
"For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
- Romans 10:13 |
|
|
How can you go to Heaven?
Jesus said you must believe that He dies and rose again to take
away your sins. Receive Him now as your Savior. He will
forgive you and cleanse you from all past sins. When you die,
He will take you to Heaven.
"As many
as received Him to them gave he power to become the sons of
God..." - John 1:12
""...ye
must be born again." - John 3:7

Prayer of Salvation
Dear Heavenly Father, even though
I do not know you personally, I want to. I repent for sinning
against you, and delighting myself in things you hate. I don't
want to go to hell; I really want to be free of my sin. Come
into my heart and cleanse me of the guilt of my sins and give me the
power to overcome those sins. I want to be Your child and learn of
Your ways. Keep me from evil and save my soul. I ask this in
the name of Jesus Christ. Amen |
